Brief artist statement for MFA exhibition catalogue

My current work investigates liminal space, which is a threshold where transformation takes place, and Sehnsucht, a German word which meansthe soul’s longing for something impossible or unknown. Referencing the movie Xanadu (1980) thiswork is made using various media to reflectthe way we use social media to transform our boring everyday lives into something more interesting and exciting to present to the world
